Our First Meeting

We practice in personal injury, medical malpractice and immigration. Each practice area and each case varies greatly. However, there is some basic initial information we need to know in order to effectively evaluate your case.

So, regardless of the reason you are meeting with one of our lawyers at Redhair & Studwell Injury Law Team, it is helpful for clients to bring the following information if available and applicable.

What Clients Should Bring

For personal injury cases:

  • Medical records
  • Pictures of the accident scene
  • Copy of the police report
  • Witness contact information
  • Personal notes, calendars or other relevant documentation
  • Insurance policy number and policy
  • Lawsuit documentation — if already started

For medical malpractice cases:

  • Medical records
  • Contact information of doctors, clinics or hospitals
  • List of health care providers currently providing treatment
  • Pictures of injury
  • Personal notes, calendars or other relevant documentation
  • Prescription information/prescription bottles
  • Lawsuit documentation — if already started

For immigration cases:

  • Birth certificates
  • Marriage certificates
  • Driver's license
  • Passport
  • Green card
  • Arrival/departure records
  • Travel documents
  • Applicable criminal records
  • Copies of immigration petitions and applications

Along with the above documentation and information, please feel free to prepare a list of questions to bring to the initial consultation. Meeting with an attorney for the first time should be informative, not intimidating. We are here to address your concerns.
